A.N.D.Y Trailer August 20th (1:00PM-3:30PM) – Llano
ARK Garden Prickly Pear Harvest – Friday, August 21 (8AM-12PM) – Valley View
We have a lot of cactus around the property and the prickly pear fruits are ready to harvest! You will need to wear long pants, hat and boots/close-toed shoes (no open-toe shoes as we will be around cactus). We will provide heavy duty gloves and tongs for picking. Once we have harvested enough we will go to the garden to prep them for processing. Location: Upon entering the Valley View entrance continue until you come to the first road on your left. Apiary (Bee Inspections) – Monday, August 24 – 9AM-10:30AM – Valley View Apiary
Join us at the Ark Apiary and experience the unique and rewarding work of caring for honeybees! We are looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with bi-weekly bee tending on Mondays. Inspecting all 10 hives takes about 2.5 hours. If you want to help with the entire process, you can sign up for both time slots, depending on availability. This hands-on opportunity involves working closely with bees and supporting the health of the bees.
