Ark Foster Care is a ministry of The Ark of Highland Lakes- a network of churches and volunteers caring for children, supporting families, and building community.
We believe every child deserves a safe, loving home and every foster, adoptive, and kinship family deserves a strong circle of support. Together, we’re uniting the Church to bring hope and healing to the Highland Lakes.

Understanding the Need
of foster families quit within the first year due to a lack of support
of inmates in U.S. prisons have spent time in foster care
of sex trafficked victims and 40-50% of the homeless population have been in CPS
Get Involved
You don’t have to be a foster parent to make a difference. There are many ways to serve, give, and show God’s love to families in our community.
Be a Shepherd
Shepherds walk alongside foster, adoptive, or kinship families—offering prayer, encouragement, and connection. Training and resources are provided
Support for Foster, Adoptive & Kinship Families
Local Support Includes:
- Access to the Ark Warehouse for clothing, gear, and supplies
- Casseroles
- Connection events and family meetups
- Prayer and mentoring support from a Shepherd team
- Community resource referrals (counseling, respite, and more)
Start a Ministry at Your Church
We can help you launch a foster care or family support ministry through your church! We’ll guide you with tools, resources, and mentoring from others already doing it
Volunteer or Donate
Serve at community events, organize a supply drive, or help with special projects that strengthen local families. Provide meals, child care, transportation, or other practical support.
