PRAYER GUIDE FOR HIGH SCHOOL
This guide can be used for a prayer walk, in a prayer group, or from your home. For a prayer walk, stations are indicated in bold. Prayer focus points ALL CAPITALS and scripted prayers have been provided, so each can pray, using one or the other, as is preferred. Please feel free to pray in any way the Holy Spirit leads.

At the flag pole – PRAYER FOCUSES: GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS/FIRST RESPONDERS/GROUNDSKEEPERS/CUSTODIAL STAFF
Please guide, bless and protect our nation, president, representatives, senators, governor, are mayors, city councils, county leaders, as well as our first responders — Police, Fire and EMT’s and all decision makers and people in authority our students must obey. We ask you to please protect and bless, also, those who maintain the grounds and for those who keep our buildings clean inside and out. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Outside Classrooms – PRAYER FOCUSES: CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES/TEACHERS AND STUDENTS/ BEHAVIOR, RESPECT/ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Father, please be present and take control of every situation in every classroom, office, and restroom. Please provide teachers and students with all that they need physically, emotionally, mentally, academically, and spiritually for their school and home lives. Rule over the attitude of every student, causing students to listen, learn, respect and appreciate their teachers and all others at school. Please assist students in understanding, retaining, recalling and applying school material. Please help teachers and students to pray to and rely on You to meet the new challenges they face, and to support each other in prayer as they need it. Please provide for our teachers and students so that students can score higher on standardized testing than ever, so that we can rejoice that You are able. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Outside Administration Offices – PRAYER FOCUSES: SCHOOL BOARD/SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPALS/OTHER STAFF
Father, because You are able, please guide the decisions of our school board, superintendent, principals, counselors, coaches, and other staff. Give them Your wisdom, favor, blessings and success. We pray Your blessings and provision for their families, as well. In Jesus name, Amen
Outside Cafeteria – PRAYER FOCUSES: CAFETERIA PERSONNEL/KINDNESS/FRIENDSHIPS/HEALTH
Father, because You are able, please be present, protecting and blessing all who enter the cafeteria and co ee shop. Please bless each one with abundant provision and great health. Fill the cafeteria with a Spirit of love, joy, kindness, and friendship. Please protect and cover this building with Your grace and mercy, Fill the co ffee shop area with Your presence and Your influence. In Jesus Name, Amen
Outside Gyms – PRAYER FOCUSES: GYMS/DRESSING AND WEIGHT ROOMS/GYM ACTIVITIES
Father, because You are able, please fill the gyms, dressing rooms, training rooms, and weight rooms with Your presence. Take control of all the activities that will happen inside this gym, be it sporting events, recreation, physical education classes, or assemblies. Please grant them success. Please provide, to all who enter, protection in and around this building, and give them Your peace and attitude of good sportsmanship. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Parking Lot – PRAYER FOCUSES: TRAVEL/PROTECTION/FAMILIES
Father, please provide Your protection on and around our school buses, and throughout our parking lots. Protect family members/guardians who will be dropping o and/or picking up their students, as well as students who drive to school. Please protect the homes of these families, as well. Give moms and dads Your strength to be faithful and loving towards one another and towards their children. Make our students’ homes a reflection of the perfect Body of Christ filled with love and peace. Father, please enable the parents to make learning a joy, and students to increase their knowledge and wisdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Track and Field – PRAYER FOCUSES: TRACK, FIELD, and OTHER EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Father, we ask for Your goodness to rule over our school, students, teachers, support sta ff, and administrators. Forbid any evil from having any access to or influence over these. Please be present everywhere on the MFHS campus, standing guard on our track, fields, weight rooms, training rooms, auditorium, band hall, choir room, and locker rooms. Protect our coaches, athletes, teachers, and students who are involved in sports, band, choir, and all other extra-curricular activities, as well as fans and all others who enter these premises. Help all who participate here to do so with respect for all others, In Jesus’ Name, Amen
