PRAYER GUIDE FOR ONE DAY ACADEMY
This guide can be used for a prayer walk, in a prayer group, or from your home. For a prayer walk, stations are indicated in bold. Prayer focus points ALL CAPITALS and scripted prayers have been provided, so each can pray, using one or the other, as is preferred. Please feel free to pray in any way the Holy Spirit leads.
Our God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. – Ephesians 3:20
Safety and provision:
God, we pray abundant blessings, health, safety and provision for the One Day Academy family (staff, board, and families.) Please set your angels around and over this property, forbidding anyone or anything entrance, that would bring harm to this church body, the ODA family, or this property. We pray for safety for all traveling to and from here, and for all traveling on surrounding roads.
Govt. leaders/first responders:
Father, please bless and guide our city, county, state, and national officials, that they would make wise decisions, that we would have peaceful and quiet lives “in all godliness and dignity.” (I Tim.1:1-2). Also, please supply help, discernment, wisdom, provision, and protection to all our first responders, and ABUNDANT blessings to their families.
School administration and board:
Please provide overflowing grace for the ODA administration and board. We pray for abundant wisdom, discernment and help for every situation, decision. Please divinely place people and resources, to help ODA grow and thrive, with excellence, according to Your will.
Students:
God, please supply abundant help to grasp, retain, recall, and apply material. We ask that You help students quickly learn good time management to complete each week’s assignments. We pray that they would be kind and respectful to their classmates, school staff and family. Please provide everything these students need to be academically, socially, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually strong.
Teachers:
We ask you to give abundant grace, peace, joy, and provision to ODA teachers. We pray you give discernment and wisdom for them to see the needs of their students, to know how to pray for them, and to plan for classes. Please provide creative ideas, helpful resources, and cohesive thoughts so they can clearly, efficiently, and effectively plan for and provide instruction. We pray for a spirit of unity amongst the teachers, administration, families, and board. Please bless and help these teachers to juggle family, work, and other activities. We pray abundant blessings to their families and churches.
Spiritual Life:
God, please reveal to the ODA students, Your HUGE, unchanging love for them, and that they would in return, choose to wholeheartedly love and serve You. We pray that they then would love their neighbors as themselves and “grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus,” (2 Pet. 2:18)
For ODA students’ and staff members’ families:
We pray for the salvation of every person in each household, for family unity, obedience to Your word, that Your joy and peace would permeate each home, and that You provide for every need. God, we pray for grace, healing, provision, and comfort, for those hurting, and that they will sense Your presence, so near, in their time of trouble.
Provision of healthy food/Uplifting conversation, behavior:
We pray that You would provide for and bless each ODA family with good food, and cause all to be healthy and strong. For all who play, compete, or meet here, we pray that You protect each, and help them speak what is wholesome, kind, respectful, loving, and uplifting to and about others, and what is pleasing to You. Please help them act in a way that is “worthy of the gospel of Christ.” (Phil. 1:27)
Protection/Godly behavior/Good friends:
God we ask that You bless and protect the children as they play and visit here. Please help the students grow in kindness, friendliness, and respectfulness for one another, and that they would have great fun, good fellowship and make great friends.
