Help us get ready to bring SMART Smiles to local elementary school children!
We are looking for volunteers to help set up and prepare our mobile dental equipment at R.J. Richey Elementary School on Thursday, September 17. The following day, SMART Smiles will provide dental screenings to elementary school-aged children.
As a Set-Up Volunteer, you will help unload, organize, and set up dental equipment and supplies so everything is ready when the children and dental teams arrive the next morning.
Your help behind the scenes is an important part of making the event run smoothly and allowing our dental professionals and volunteers to focus on caring for the children we serve.
No dental experience is necessary—just a willingness to lend a hand and potentially lift items 5 pounds or heavier!
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
Bring a Photo ID and be prepared to check-in at the front desk of the school upon arrival.
About SMART Smiles
The Saving, Maintaining, and Retaining Their Smiles or “SMART” Smiles program provides oral health education and preventative care to underserved, school-aged children, while helping to create a positive dental environment and implement a referral system for necessary dental treatment. SMART Smiles is a community-led effort that brings together local dental professionals, service organizations, local and state agencies, and volunteers with a shared goal: making a positive difference in the lives of hundreds of elementary school children.
